Suez Canal Authority has decided that circular no. (2/2017) concerning “Dry Bulk” vessels coming from (or heading to) Australian ports and heading to (or coming from) ports at North West Europe, shall remain in force till the end of June 2020 after amending “Article One” of the circular to read as follows:

“Dry Bulk” vessels (Laden or Ballast) coming from (or heading to) ports at North West Europe (starting from CADIZ port and its Northern ports) and heading to (or coming from) the below areas at Australia shall be granted the following rebate percentages:
a) Ports located at North West of CAIRNS port and ending with DARWIN port a rebate of 40% of Suez Canal normal tolls.
b) Ports located at the West of DARWIN port till before GERALDTON port at the West of Australia a rebate of 65% of Suez Canal normal tolls.
c) Ports located at the South West, South and East of Australia which starts at GERALDTON port at the South West of Australia and ending at Cairns port at the East of Australia a rebate of 75% of Suez Canal normal tolls.

This periodical shall be applicable to “Dry Bulk” vessels (laden or ballast) sailing from “origin ports” from the 1st of January 2020 till the 30th of June 2020.
